Before this vacation we never heard of
Cody, WY. We just picked out a place that would have fireworks on July 4, and
stumbled onto one of the highlights of the vacation.
As it turns out, there's not too many
places in the desert that allow shooting flaming projectiles into the air in the
middle of the summer. After an intense internet search, Cody was the only city
that showed up near where we wanted to be around the fourth that had a fireworks
show. When we finalizing our itinerary, we saw that it also had a National Rodeo
Championship that same weekend and thought it would be interesting.
Interesting is the understatement of the
year, it was phenomenal! Maybe it's a you-had-to-be-there moment, but if
you're interested, here's some highlights of the rodeo that might give
you and idea of what a great time we had.
